My name is Shannon and I am one of the Group Leaders in the Autism Support Group. I recently was notified that you posted for the first time in our group.
I did edit your post to remove what appeared to sound like you calling people with autism "little monkeyshines". When there is name-calling, the group leaders will edit posts.
If you notice, no one had responded to the person's post. I do not agree with an uprising as well, but at times we do need to let people vent.
I hope you do come back to the forum. Please contact me if you have any questions regarding this or would like to discuss or other topics more.

I was not referring to autistic people as monkeyshines, but rather the acts that some (on the extreme end of the spectrum) get up to as monkeyshines. I was not aware that this was an offensive term, and apologise.
The post I made was serious though, instead of someone suggesting that they should be able to cause noise without recrimination, a better suggestion would have been to get together and make an apartment building where everyone had autistic children.
That would have been less selfish.
