I'm in the US and I've never seen it either. And I've watched at least 10 TV shows in that time. But not commercials. Who does that?

Its not on anymore, it was a holiday commercial. It was for Hyundai and I think the band is called Pompaloose if you want to YouTube it. I think it was mostly on network television, and ESPN, TBS and such
