I agree.
-fights where they slow shit down and practically fly
-rude sass
-chicks who stop the plot for boring non-nude fuck scenes

Agreed. shaky cam
This is okay when done conservatively and in a non-obnoxious way. >>2
Yes. So rude. >>3
Tsk. Go back to /b/ >>4
OP already mentioned CGI. >>5
?? >>6
Well, that's a given. >>7
3D is as much brain damaged hype as movies released in DRM saturated high-definition blu-ray. >>8
I'd like to know this as well. >>9
Midgets are used as a last ditch effort at getting a chuckle out of an audience, especially when the comedy lacks substance.
- Recorded on digital instead of traditional celluloid, makes the whole film look like ass, especially in darkly-lit scenes

But you don't get the full effect of viewing the film in its original aspect ratio.

Tru.dat. I fucking hate fullscreen. I watched some fullscreen DVDs my friend has, I can't even really pay attention because every time the camera angle changes I'm trying to imagine what I'm missing. Besides every TV made in the past 5 years is widescreen anyway, it shouldn't even be an issue.

-animated films that use celebrities instead of actual voice actors (which is 99% of them now)

So what should we do, steal film reels from theaters? Bluray isn't terrible, its the shooting the film on digital.

>>17 Bluray isn't terrible
It's mostly the DRM that Blu-ray has, not so much its technical merits, and the fact that I would have to replace my entire DVD collection (which a lot of DVDs will still not be on Blu-ray), and some films are still only available on VHS, &c. The format is being aggressively pushed when DVD hasn't even had a good ten year run yet (I consider DVD realistically less than ten years old, since it wasn't until 2003 when DVD sales surpassed VHS sales, even though the format dates back to 1996).
Until this DRM bullshit stops, and all the other stuff I mentioned above, I'm avoiding Blu-ray like the plague, and this whole moronic bandwagon of buying the same shit in just a higher viewing quality.
its the shooting the film on digital.
Agreed with you there, I have yet to see a film shot digitally that didn't look akin to the skin complexion of a whore's plastic fake tits. Celluloid all the way, and the expense of preserving it is worth it in the long run.

How about lack of acting skills and story.
I watch a flim noir movie the other day call "the man who wasn't there" Once my idiot friend got over the fact its in black & white(made in 2001) he actually realized its a great movie... If you are able to appreciate that sort of thing..
Shit the "Super Mario" movie has better acting then most of the modern shit...

I see your tactics of copying what genuine opposition has been doing for a long time now, against us, and let me tell you, I'm not impressed, nor do I find it cute.

Not capitalizing the first letter, no period and extra space between the post citation and "Tsk". I suggest you study more before making a poor attempt to blend in.

Not cute?
But, I'm just a wee little tsk-y... not even very old.
With big round eyes and a pert lil nose...
Come on, you do find me just a teeny bit cute, admit it.
Let's get back on topic instead of doing stupid tsk and GETs. This is a textboaard, GETs aren't particularly difficult to attain here.
- Mostly comprising of untalented hacks
- Endless amount of retarded "teen movies", though this is nothing new, it's gotten quite worse.
- Films don't strive for (or at least don't bother to try) historical accuracy (either being a film in an historic setting, or one that makes a reference to a historic time, quote from a historic figure, etc.).
