At the beginning of Empire, how cone Luke doesn't detect the Wampa with his scanner? I mean, he just gets done telling Echo Base he doesn't detect any lifeforms when it attacks him.

The 1997 editions are the best. The only bad changes were Greedo shooting first (which is minor) and the end of ROTJ (which is ok, just not as good as the original). Everything else was cool.

Agreed. Though, visually, I do like the end of ROTJ in the 1997 edition better. The ending music in the original 1983 version is better though.

I grew up with the 97 tapes and I just watched the original ROTJ ending on YouTube for the first tome. The music for the 97 edition is better. The only reason you could think "yub nub" is awesome is nostalgia.

Luke what does the scouter say about the Wampa's power level ?!

1. What is Yub Nub ?

1983: "Yub Nub" Ewok song
1997: New orchestral piece by John Williams, plus scenes of partying on Coruscant and other planets
2005: Same as 1997 but with Hayden Christiansen replacing Sebastien Shaw as Anakin's force ghost

i liked the original jaba the hut scene sounds like the thing was singing he's my woman lol the other changes were not bad tho the jabba scene in new hope was actual a original clip he cut because there wasn't time/money to do it so that is meant to be there i guess, but then you watch the new ones and the old ones are like low teak but the old ones still rock!

Yeah, I like the jabba scene in ANH, too. I never noticed this until yesterday, but at the end of that scene Han says "you're a wonderful human being, jabba." I guess because jabba was a human when they filmed it.

wasn't there a lawsuit with Sebastien Shaw's family suing Lucas for replacing him with Hayden Christensen? then Hayden was like i didn't know he was going do that lol

I hope so. Hayden's ghost looks like a child molester.

If not, there should have been. The most awful change Lucas ever made.

is Lucas going redo the hole scene where Luke takes off his father's mask as well lol I mean it makes no sense to replace Sebastien with Hayden in one scene and not the others they should have keep it maybe its like Anakin grown up version i mean leave it alone then Lucas is all talking about 3d all 6 movies why not come out with more volumes instead?

As for the rest, it's ridiculous, he should have just kept Sebastien, especially since he died back in '94. It's just the respectful thing to do.

No more volumes, unless they are written and directed by someone other than George. Let him keep "remastering" his old movies, I'll just not watch them.

it would be like replacing Sir Alex Guinness with Ewan Mcgregor in rotj at the last scene i agree tho very dis respectable then those stupid clone wars cartoon with non of the voices of the original characters its not enjoyable heck if Seth Green can get the original characters why can't Lucas lol

The only good re-release was the 1997 Special Edition on VHS. Instead of screwing everything up with the DVD releases. The only thing that should have been added to the 2005 edition was the extended ending sequence in ROTJ, the only things were unnecessary.

FACT #1: The White race has crossed seas, harnessed rivers, carved mountains, tamed deserts, and colonized the most barren ice fields. It has been responsible for the invention of the printing press, cement, the harnessing of electricity, flight, rocketry, astronomy, the telescope, space travel, firearms, the transistor, radio, television, the telephone, the light bulb, photography, motion pictures, the phonograph, the electric battery, the automobile, the steam engine, railroad transportation, the microscope, computers, and millions of other technological miracles. It has discovered countless medical advances, incredible applications, scientific progress, etc. Its members have included such greats as Socrates, Aristotle, Plato, Homer, Tacitus, Julius Caesar, Napoleon, William the Conqueror, Marco Polo, Washington, Jefferson, Hitler, Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Magellan, Columbus, Cabot, Edison, Graham-Bell, Pasteur, Leeuwenhoek, Mendel, Darwin, Newton, Galileo, Watt, Ford, Luther, Leonardo, Poe, Tennyson, and thousands upon thousands of other notable achievers.
FACT #2: Throughout 6,000 years of recorded history, the Black African Negro has invented nothing. Not a written language, weaved cloth, a calendar, a plow, a road, a bridge, a railway, a ship, a system of measurement, or even the wheel. (Note: This is in reference to the pure-blooded Negro.) He is not known to have ever cultivated a single crop or domesticated a single animal for his own use (although many powerful and docile beasts abounded around him.) His only known means of transporting goods was on the top of his hard burry head. For shelter he never progressed beyond the common mud hut, the construction of which a beaver or muskrat is capable.

Mace Windu was the most powerful Jedi in the galaxy behind Yoda.
And Lando Calrissian took out the second Death Star.

Mace Windu got owned by Darth Sidious and don't even act like he won only because of Anakin's interference.

Lando still took out that second Death Star, son. Yeah. Even though he got a little help from Wedge.
I remember renting Phantom Menace from Blockbuster when I was ten. It was so boring that I went to take a shit in the middle and didn't even bother to pause it.
