Anyone else realised that, despite being a mature adult with the capacity to forgive and forget, the knowledge that getting revenge doesn't solve anything, and the knowledge that there's no such thing as Karma, they actually aren't above feeling schadenfreude?
This year I have seen two people's nasty little schemes backfire spectacularly and have gained immense pleasure from watching the events unfold. Justified or not, I'm not far off thirty and still more childish than I'd like to be. I thought I was doing pretty well but evidently I have a long way to go before reaching Enlightenment. Is it unhealthy, does anyone else wish they were above such childish feelings, and do any readers more Zen than I am have any tips for not being such a bastard?
