God damn redneck, backwood, hick, conservative Calfornia, fucking with the progressive uber liberal agenda.

Except the liberals were not for pot legalization.

Drug war like Iraq war is a source of government power. Liberals no more wish to give either up, despite surface pretenses and ground level liberals thoughts. The ground level "liberal" may support pot legalization, but behind closed doors the organized powerful liberals don't.

California is one of the most liberal states in America and this failed. Nuff said.
