The Jews of Europe, aka Ashkenazi Jews are actually Khazars who are originate from north-west Kazakhstan. Khazars are a Turkic ethnic group, thus making them closely related to Kazakhs, Turks, Uzbeks, Turkmen, Tatars, Azeris etc.

Only disproven in part. There is a DNA type among Ashkenazic Jews that comes from Eastern Europe and is inherited from father to son. It's called R1a1 and found in up to 13 percent of Ashkenazic Jews. It's very common among Christian people living in countries like Ukraine and Belarus.
