From a secular point of view this was a very well made movie.
A Christian parent would want to think twice before allowing their child to see this movie, because in the real world, the only way a toy could move and talk is if it were demonized. I found this movie disturbing from this point of view, and yet at the same time I realized most people would consider this a harmless fantasy movie.
I have seen this movie and Toy Story 2, but have decided not to watch Toy Story 3 for this reason.

It is said that once you achieve enlightenment.
The world at large gangs up on you all at once to drive you mad.
I believe this to be as true as planetary rotation.
What will it take to get you monkeys to leave me alone?
Go play with your bright shiny objects!
Nothing wrong with a bit of peril in a children's film. In the 1986 animated Transformers movie they killed of a shitload of well known characters in like the first half an hour. Kids were crying in the cinema apparently lol. What a bunch of pussies.
That film taught me a lot about life and the horrors of war, and I still watch it now every now and again.

Animals do not speak to each other with such sophistication unless they are demonic in nature.

Any specific biblical reference that alludes to this idea of sophisticated animal speaking being demonic?

It is common Christian lore for hundreds of years that we dwell'st among demons and witches. That's why Halloween is so offensive to Christains -- the beings of costume are not mere fantasy; they are REAL and EVIL!
There are. Madea movies are for Christian families. Go on Netflix their are plenty of movies.

Pulp Fiction is a good movie for a Christian family to study the behaviour of demons who possess people. Like the Bible says: Know thy enemy. Every Christian should learn to recognize demons who possess people. I know what I'm talking about, I see the faces of demons in other people all the time, even in little children and animals.
