I can agree with this. It's the same thing as servers in restaurants, they get paid way below minimum wage, and they're expected to make a decent wage off of other people's tips, and not have the company pay them a decent wage as they're the ones providing a god damn service! Who thought up such a barbaric "system" of paying wages? If you can't pay ALL your employees a decent wage, then maybe you shouldn't have gone into business in the first place. I shouldn't have to be held responsible to maintain the standard of living for one of your employees.

I agree wholeheartedly. The fact that waitresses are exempt from minimum wage laws is fucking stupid and should be illegal. Of course it isn't like that in the UK. We make sure everyone is eligible for minimum wage.

Anyway, on topic, I just find it criminal that only certain people are not paid x amount, and everyone else is obliged to be paid x amount as a wage. Either businesses pay everyone the same, or don't bother going into business.

Believe it or not, I haven't been trying to shitpost. Just thought some old threads had some value, and I did try and post a response that might continue the conversation.
And yes, it's incredibly criminal. If I were a politician I would use it as a vote winner. There are a lot more poor people than rich, and they would probably go for it.
