Heathens

What happens to people who've never had Christianity introduced to them? Like tribal folk and regions or even individuals isolated from the world?

Are they deemed as heathens by the Lord and cast into hell? Maybe we should crusade to these parts of the word and spread the word of Christ to make sure they find salvation.

~Your friendly neighborhood Jew.

First off, I don't see why a kike would care.

Secondly, who says man needs to be saved?  If the gods made us broken just so they could fix us, that's coercion, not faith.

And finally -- Jesus was nails to wood.  Thor carries a hammer.  what else can I say?

Who fucking cares because God isn't real and all the religions are here to fool you. Christianity is the most flawed of the major religions. I'm surprise it last this long since we have Islam. At least for Islam you don't even have to believe in God.

Hey, OP here, just wanted to let everyone know that I was simply joking! (Hence the "Your friendly neighborhood Jew" bit.) Of course a Jew wouldn't care.

What I was really doing was being sarcastic and pointing out a problem of religion, which is that everyone by default has no religion.

Ignorance of the Law is no excuse - you're going down!

Ignorance of God is no excuse - you're going down!

Fuck both of them.

Ah, here comes 'round the obligatory christian.
Actually I don't consider myself really a Christian in the traditional sense. A lot of the magic hocus pocus written in the bible I find absurd and hard to believe, though written within it are good moral stories and anecdotes.
You're the only one in this thread who's not an atheist jackass
That's a damn lie and you know it. Also, way to rearrange what I said, not surprising since most atheists don't have any original thought.

atheists don't have any original thought.

They had an original thought.
They believed that God didn't exist.
And it gave rise to a whole new belief system called 'Atheism'.

No, they don't. They're just rebels who have weak arguments for their "religion" and nobody takes them seriously except for adolescent teenagers rebelling against their parents and/or whatever they're rebelling against these days, and bitter middle-aged men who are mad at the world for whatever reason.

[x].j[g
I see, you're one of those rebelling adolescent teenagers I just wrote about, so back to /b/, please

gives the "rebel" argument
Oh the irony. Listen fuckface, atheism has nothing to do with rebellion. So quit your nonsense trolling and get back to /b/ where you belong.

Just stick your fingers in your ears and close your eyes and sing to yourself until the big bad heathens go away, that's what you're good at!

and yes, IHBT

WAHHH, I hate God and religion so I'm just going to attack it endlessly forever because I simply can. Seriously, it's nothing more that just angst and rebellion, much like the sexual revolution/hippie era of the late 1960s, without much reasoning except that they have the liberty to.

Like I said, most of them are 14 year old adolescents who get into atheism because it's the trendy thing to do. I've seen families break apart because of it. Not to mention the ideas behind it are responsible for much of the death and destruction of the last century.

Of course that's not to excuse the fundamentalist Christians, who I feel are also a damaging aspect to society, and I'm seeing a rise in fundamentalism intertwining with the military. This is quite a scary thing indeed. Which goes against the Just War Theory of not attacking people as a first resort to solving problems, exactly why there's the never ending bogging down war in Afghanistan.

I think that perversion of Christianity and religion in general towards warmongering behavior is what's causing the current rise in atheism, but this is also a problem as you're just throwing out the baby with the bathwater. I think the main concern is to avoid both extreme ends of the spectrum, that being the militant rebellious atheism and also the extreme insane fundamentalism on the other end. Either one can eventually lead to an unstable society and political upheavel.

Oh look, a /b/dweller in disguise. You mean BAWWWW, don't you little /b/tard?

death and destruction of the last century
Oops, that's religion, unless you're suggesting that the Muslim extremists are a quiet and peaceful people.

I did actually (and unfortunately) read the rest of your rambling post, but there's nothing to say about such mindless dribble.

I think it's confirmed that the once peaceful /lounge/ is getting raided by morons.

No, because I don't browse that awful board.
Oops, that's religion
The combined total deaths estimated from nations under communistic control, USSR, China, North Korea, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Afghanistan, and the eastern European states under Soviet regime is between 85 to 100 million people[1]
Many of the communist governments did not allow for the freedom of religion, and often many resorted to illegal underground churches to practice their religion of choice. Christianity was persecuted, as was Buddhism. There's also the quite unknown Vinnytsia massacre where the Soviet secret police (NKVD) murdered many Ukrainian Christians.
unless you're suggesting that the Muslim extremists are a quiet and peaceful people.
I'm not suggesting extremists (of whatever religion or lack thereof) of any kind are "quiet and peaceful people".
I did actually (and unfortunately) read the rest of your rambling post, but there's nothing to say about such mindless dribble.
Quite sad you think that way.
I think it's confirmed that the once peaceful /lounge/ is getting raided by morons.
Or rather people who hold an air tight grip to their ideas without listening to any opposing discourse.

Now listen here, jerkface. You're thinking in terms of black and white. Why do you think that it has to be either full on atheism or full on fundamentalism? And that it cannot be something in between? What I take from Christainity is the moral teaching it espouse about, but not the whole stuff about Noah's Ark (while good bed time stories, otherwise no), or crazy miraclous stories like that. Stop thinking I'm a troll, I'm trying to have serious discourse here.

Plus I already know about that "salted salmon" board.
