Why is North Korea called the Democratic Peoples' Republic of Korea?? I only noticed this when they got thrashed my Portugal. I thought there was nothing democratic about North Korea.
Kim Il-Sung the late is the eternal president of North Korea, hence his son Kim Jung-Il doesn't need to hold elections because he's not really the president. Kim Il-Sung won ``the election'' so they call themselves democratic.
It's actually a Necrocracy but the Necrocratic Peoples Republic of North Korea doesn't ring very well.
