I imagine that it would be quite dirty, literally.

Personally, I love to get down and dirty. Not only can we search for buried treasure, but sometimes we strike gold. The hard part is getting it all out and making sure there isn't any cave-ins and no one gets hurt in the process of all this fun and excitement. The girls love it when we come out and lavish them with so much adult attention covering them in dirty hard-working-goodness.
I'm not only the union rep for the Underground Miners, I'm also a miner.

isn't it funny how WTC is reminiscent of the story of the Tower of Babel?

Genesis 11
The Tower of Babel
1 Now the whole world had one language and a common speech. 2 As men moved eastward, [a] they found a plain in Shinar [b] and settled there.
3 They said to each other, "Come, let's make bricks and bake them thoroughly." They used brick instead of stone, and tar for mortar. 4 Then they said, "Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves and not be scattered over the face of the whole earth."
5 But the LORD came down to see the city and the tower that the men were building. 6 The LORD said, "If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. 7 Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other."
8 So the LORD scattered them from there over all the earth, and they stopped building the city. 9 That is why it was called Babel [c] —because there the LORD confused the language of the whole world. From there the LORD scattered them over the face of the whole earth.

"Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves and not be scattered over the face of the whole earth."
"World Trade Center"
This is where people from all around the world had come to trade.
6 The LORD said, "If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. 7 Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other."
I swear, if you don't understand the purpose for the LORD to do this, you are an impostor. If God doesn't set the hurdles for us to jump, we make ourselves out to be Gods without learning the depth, breadth, and meaning is of the LORD.
The LORD sets himself in opposition of our fundamental growth, because he WANTS us to grow instead of just become God in one day just to fall from grace the next. Get it now?
God always pits you against your greatest fear, your greatest weakness, your greatest agony. When you face these three things, you are being challenged by God to learn and grow.
Hope that clarifies some stuff they may not have taught in babel school.
