So after walking onto the bus and handing the driver my fair I walked to the nearest seat at the front. there were three seats, two of them filled and a woman's new toaster sitting on the third. I prefer to sit at the front of the bus so I asked the woman (a fat black lady) if she would move her box. She said "no, there are plenty of other seats." I responded, "what, is this like the reverse of rosa parks??" (all I could think of and I was upset). she jumped up, started hooting and hollering, and threatening me. the driver had to calm her down. it was a very dangerous situation.
