Every once in a while I make posts with a lot of BBcode, or make text art. With a preview feature I wouldn't have to post in old /lounge/ threads and try until I get it right.
Even BBcode masters make minor errors sometimes, you know.
Or you could just use a BBcode test site. Or use the post preview Greasemonkey script. The latter doesn't support [aa] tags, but if you're going trough the trouble to make text art, it'll take relatively little effort to double check two tags.

This is what I use: http://nx3d.org/bbcode/ide.html you can also change the rendering mode to Shiichan's with it. It's pretty good for what I need it for.
