Praying to God

Seems there are two types of payers; asking for change and giving thanks, but what is the logic? If you are praying to an omnipotent creator who has willed a "plan" and you are asking him for something to change, like, "Please, God, help little Billy be cured of cancer", who are you to ask him to change his plan for Billy to die a painful cancerous death? Essentially you are saying, "Fuck you God, I dont like your shitty plan, I know better than you." And why the need to give thanks to an omnipotent being? Do you require your pets to give you thanks? Do you require your little Civilization AIs to give you thanks? Or is it enough for them to just exist and live happily?

Religious people don't use logic. They just believe whatever is told to them and never think for themselves.
