How can you belong to a religion?

Human psychology denotes that every mind has the potential to perceive things differently, so how do we know we're worshiping the same God? An example of this would be the different factions of Christians going around, some who love all creatures great and small and others who are anti-gay etc.

I went to church expecting to see like-minded people and all I got were a bunch of simple, ugly, fat old women.

the funny thing is, I tempt them into leading me into temptation which drives them wild. Basically, giving your power to them is intoxicating...it drives them madly insane with desire and fear all neatly wrapped up with the pretty bow of spirituality...and what is laying in wait inside? When all is said and done...I assess their attitudes and if they are pissy I say, "Now you have something to confess at church next time you go." At first they are like, "I would neve...," but then they are like, "...OH, HOLY SHIT!!!" And they are all hot and heavy for some more action. :3
