Also, while on the topic of YouTube, those god damn fascists keep fixing things that aren't broken. Like changing the layout of the video player itself. Now the elapsed and total time counter is on the left instead of the right, as well as the volume control, which now moves sideways instead of vertical. And the whole thing in general is just really ugly and unnecessary.

But like trying to police mass idiocy, nothing can be done about this either I suppose.

The large majority of users are against it, just as they were with the individual video view counter removal, just as they were against overzealous removal of uploaded videos that didn't violate TOS, etc. Google can do whatever they so please since they own YouTube. It's just frustrating that there isn't a comparable alternative out there though.

But I'd like to add, that reading YouTube commments is a waste of time anyway. I just watch videos and if I enjoy said video, I click the button that I liked it.
