"It would not be difficult to construct a worm that would go through the Net, clicking on every Google or Yahoo! affiliate ad that it saw," Levy says. "If enough of these were loose, you'd swamp the entire system in noise - millions or even billions of extra clicks. It would be very hard to defend against."
Is this likely to happen? "I would like to be able to say that people aren't that stupid or greedy or aggressive or mindless," says Chase Law's Butler. "But I can't say any of those things. That is definitely the threat - a threat to the entire system by somebody who is just doing it for the hell of it."
We must destroy AdWords /lounge/!! This is the most epic task we've had in years. This could bring Anon back to legion status? Somebody write a little bot that clicks on ads heaps of times and seaarches the google for adsensed sites. This is epin but we have to say ebaums did it. Who can deliver the bot?
"If you'd told me five years ago that I would be talking about 'fake clicks,' I would have told you that you were crazy," says John Slade, who leads Yahoo!'s click protection efforts. "Now it's all I spend my time on."

So because of one word you want to pass on the chance to destroy a billion dollar evil empire? Are you nuts? You're going to pass on the chance to save the internet and you cower away because of one word? Out.
>>1,6
Because you're an idiot, no one's going to help you. Because you're an idiot, you think this a ``chance''. You actually didn't fucking think of this the second you saw a click-based profit scheme. Seriously?
Besides, if I cared enough to write such a thing, why would I credit it to the 5-year-olds at /b/? Why would I credit it at all?

Wow. Are you female? Do you even have a spine? wtf? If we can we must. >>10
All you have to do is rapidshit an automated AdSense clicker. The legion will do the rest. I know somebody is getting rich off this scourge of the internet through auto-clickers. Time to cough up the program fatcats! The glory days are over. Your assmaster Google is over.

How are they a great company? They deliver ads and spy on people. That's all. But who cares anyway? This is just a way to reawaken the legion spirit in /lounge/. Taking down Google will bring us together more than a thousand milkribses.

Yahoo can be taken down later. AdWords/AdSense is the most prominent, therefore the target.

They are the best search engine on the net, they run the best video host on the net, they are always releasing cool new features like google street view. How are they spying on you? You come off as paranoid.
>>17
100 random guys running a bot for a week isn't going to take down the system. They'll probably just be autobanned. Worm or GTFO.

They run a shitty video hosting service, full of limitations and ads. But they have money and can afford the most bandwidth. And so they have the most users. How did they get that money? By building up complex, intimate profiles of their users based on tracking their every move with cookies such as the DoubleClick DART cooky they use. Their search is fail and spammed to death. Yahoo is far better. But Google has the most users because it successfully branded itself. Really it is a market research/ad serving company not a search company. By definition they spy on you, they track you, they build up identifiable profiles of you based on email and webtools and all the other tracking methods.

Seriously any other company in the same position that google is in would be 100% more corrupt. If you think if google disappears a better company is going to show up you are disillusioned.

Anon will just destroy every company until Anon itself gets to run the internet. Your the deluded one, my friend. Anon is the legion one.

Nobody gives a shit. Taking down Google would produce minor lulz. Why not do it if we can? Whoever replaces them will have weak spots too. We can take down any company if we band to gether as a legion, like @previous said.

Who cares what the butler has to say. I want to hear Case Law's opinion on the matter.
Can you fellas take this over to /img/ or, better yet, /b/? It's not that I hate you or anything, it's just that the delicate balance of this board has been disturbed by your... ah... embassy. Yes?

I think it's an attempt to get /lounge/ to band together. A common enemy to fight against. All our infighting is irrelevant if we can band together to destroy google, like how we ruined milkribs' spirit and eventually bricksocked him. Now it's time to bricksock the internet, go one up on /fa/. As a "legion" I guess. As a whole at least. All /lounge/rs, fighting for an end to the internet as we know it! Has a nice ring to it right?
>>34
Jeepers, are you that same person who claimed to be DJapco or something? This is exactly the kind of behavior that stimulates infighting. A common enemy can unite a people, but what you seek is plain destruction! You twisted the anus' arm once too often and now, see the fruit of your labor! He is no more!
Why can't we band together to do something good instead?

Destroying Google is good. Freeing us from a bloated Juggernaut so innovation can reign again.
>>36
What's so bad about Google? Are you planning to reinvent the internet search engine just because one party happened to do it very successfully? Doesn't sound like a healthy model to me! Google also invests in start-up companies and encourages its employees to innovate.
