Don't know what happened there but I was actually hit by a car once. People rushed to my aid, covering me in blankets, and called an ambulance. The one guy stayed the whole time.

Always carry a spare blanket, just in case someone gets hit by a car.

Also, those people may or may not have done the appropriate thing. You don't need a dozen people who don't know what they're doing standing around an injured man. Instead, let people with some medical training assist the person. And it's probably a good idea to not move the victim too much.
