I really can not abide oversibilance in recorded musics. Why for years I thought that vinyl records were poorly made due to the terrible sound. It turns out that I had to wait for the internet to be invented and google the problem: you have to precisely align the cartridge in the arm so that the stylus contacts the groove precisely perpendicularly. Well fuck.
Now we have these mp3s and overcompressed streams, which are prone to oversibilance. Awful.
There is just no excuse for a compact disc to be released with oversibilance. I was disgusted to play my 1990 release of the 1971 The Who album Meaty Beaty Big and Bouncy and hear oversibilance. I had to downwardly adjust the treble on my speakers. Anyhow, Pinball Wizard is a kickass track, and the vocals on Boris the Spider must have inspired the Brazillian metal bands to come.
