Status vs. Money, what's more important?

Name: Anonymous 2010-04-02 23:50

Although money comes with status, I think money wins by a long shot.  I don't give a shit about my social status as long as I have my $$$'s.

Name: Anonymous 2010-04-02 23:55

Both are worthless.
They are theoretical power.

When I'm about to kill you and your money and status do nothing to sway me otherwise, you die the same way you would have before, without any of it.

Learn a skill, get something that matters.

Your money is worthless paper. You should invest in some precious metals if you do care about the wealth you have, but that's not the most important thing in life.

>>2-3
Agreed.

goddamnit! a sexbot! why didnt i think of this? i could be like a trilionaire right now if you would build a sexbot with a plasmarifle on one arm and shotgun on the other, also a electroshock device in the vagina so that it could kill or torture people when they fuck it.

Money buys skills, love, happiness, social status, and everything in between.

Have attachment to money will lead to your downfall, should your fantasy ever meet reality.

Though, that may never happen, looking at the world today.

This is what I(>>2) was saying to a degree, but also gold is essentially worthless unless someone wants it, it's inherently useless.
Food and water has worth, why don't you try some of that.
What I'm saying right now reminds me heavily of Fist of the North Star.

Name: Anonymous 2010-04-04 3:33

Money buys skills

no dude, no.

gold has a low electric resistance, the only metal that has a even lower resistance is silver but silver tends to oxidide and so its not used in electronics.

money
JEWS
status
TOOLS

Name: Anonymous 2010-04-04 4:27

>>11
Wait, so gold is actually valuable?
OH GOD I'VE BEEN WRONG FOR SO LONG I'M SO SORRY EVERYONE I TOLD GOLD WAS WORTHLESS.
I'M SO SORRY.

Name: Anonymous 2010-04-04 7:44

money is pride, give it away.
"Greedy little people in a sea of distress
Keep your more to receive your less
Unimpressed by material excess
Love is free, love me, say, "Hell, yes!"

Oh, there's a river born to be a giver
Keep you warm, won't let you shiver
His heart is never gonna wither
Come on everybody time to deliver"

givitaway, givitaway, givitaway, now!
givitaway, givitaway, givitaway, now!
givitaway, givitaway, givitaway, now!
I can't tell if I'm a kingpin or a pauper."

YUP AS I SAY RED NECK
STATUS IS MOST IMPORTANT THAN MONEY
YOU WILL DIE IN YOUR FANTASY AFTER APOCALYPSE WORLD OR WHATEVER

Status is still a trophy. It can easily be taken away when someone surpasses you.

The journey is worth more than the destination. The destination is just a cherry on the cake.

lol isn't that song by U2 or Red Hot Chilly Peppers or somebody like that? Bands get more hypocritical by the era. Outstanding.

Name: Anonymous 2010-04-05 11:12

>>17
It's only hypocritical to those who perceive what is stated and then slack on their own action part...they talk a mean game about how the person that made a statement needs to keep up on their end of the "promise" and then they themselves drop the ball faster than you can say, "Holy crap, is that a ounce?"

Name: Anonymous 2010-04-05 11:13

>>17
the person who says a person is hypocritical is the hypocrite.
It's the responsibility of the one who KNOWS to change...not the one that doesn't. So even if you tell someone to do something different, you still would be a hypocrite for not even following your own advice.

Also, not your personal proving ground, and not your personal army.

not your personal army.
Doesn't seem like he was requesting one, sir. Usually the procedure for a personal army request is when they wish for any of us to carry out his revenge on someone that did something to the requester in question, in which case he is passed off with sarcastic commentary and/or told to go back to /b/ where the individual performing the request rightfully belongs. Or even better yet, back to Myspace or Facebook or wherever these WEB 2.0 QUALITY social networking Websites these junkies dwell these days.

well is one of your disciples, you are the Jesus of Lounge!

Name: Anonymous 2010-04-05 21:52

Does this mean RedCream is going to get crucified by /vip/?

Name: Anonymous 2010-04-05 22:28

>>24
Wait, /vip/ is Rome?
I never really thought about the similarities between the 2 before, I guess they are comparable.
Does that mean that /vip/ will eventually fall to a combination of spreading their armies too thin, lead posioning and Barbarians?

Name: Anonymous 2010-04-05 22:56

>>25
That and also JEWS. You know, a lot of Jews held high positions in the Roman government before its downfall.

Name: Anonymous 2010-04-05 23:24

Neither. Your life and your liberty are much more important than money and status could ever be. But of money and/or status are nice things, but not anywhere near the most important things.

Name: Anonymous 2010-04-05 23:30

lrn2implication...he was requesting us to actually give a damn what he thinks.

:/

Name: Anonymous 2010-04-06 1:05

>>28
Well hell, could be argued that any author of any old post on world4ch is "implying" to request that others give a damn about what the author in question thinks. Seems like he made you get burned a bit with his passing comment on your posted lyrics and you were expecting nothing but positive commentary.

Criticism exists, it's a fact of life.

Name: Anonymous 2010-04-06 1:10

STFU this is now about redcream

Name: Anonymous 2010-04-06 1:12

Man, it's always about RedCream. We need a return of Milkribs. But I guess he took a big shit again and had his mother take his Internet away again! wwwww

criticism is not bias; however, heckling is and his was a personal opinion, hence, he was heckling...and I'm not his personal army nor yours, ie, lrn2logic.

criticism
Noun

    * S: (n) criticism, unfavorable judgment (disapproval expressed by pointing out faults or shortcomings) "the senator received severe criticism from his opponent"
    * S: (n) criticism, critique (a serious examination and judgment of something) "constructive criticism is always appreciated"
    * S: (n) criticism, literary criticism (a written evaluation of a work of literature)

heckling
Noun

    * S: (n) heckling, barracking (shouting to interrupt a speech with which you disagree)

Verb

    * S: (v) heckle, hackle, hatchel (comb with a heckle) "heckle hemp or flax"
    * S: (v) heckle (challenge aggressively)
Sounds more like he was criticizing what you posted than heckling you about it.

criticism is not bias
It most absolutely is. It's human nature to be biased. Criticism is no exception. Also, you're misusing the "not your personal army" bit, save it for when some bored teenager on here wants us for him to get even over somebody that burned him over some arbitrary immature drama.
