Alright, don't get me wrong, I fucking love meat, but how do I justify eaiting it?
I mean, it seems to me that if I could survive on a diet consisting entirely of fruits and vegetables and anything else that didn't come from sentient life, I should do that. Why take another animals life when it isn't necessary?
There's no way to justify causing death and suffering to sentient creatures if there's an alternative, which there increasingly is. Unless you simply don't care. But that's not an argument.
They feel pain, and have emotions, albeit on a different scale than us. pigs are smarted than dogs btw, and rats have found to laugh when tickled, something previously thought unique to humans.
