The poverty of Being Cummed Inside

I have stolen food from grocery stores in my lifetime, because I was hungry. I have broken into cars because I couldn't afford rent. I have lied in order to receive medical treatment, and I have also lied in order to receive prescription drugs, in order to sell them and make money.

You wouldn't sit there in a ditch and die, you're right. And you wouldn't think that you were entitled to someone else's money, either. Not until you saw someone rich; someone spending $50 on a meal while you are hungry and have no money; someone who drives a new Hummer when every job within walking distance of your home is filled; someone who wastes that which you spend your life so desperately trying to attain.

You will do what you have to in order to survive. If society puts someone into a position whereby they cannot provide for themselves, they will take from others. Is this the fault of the individual who wishes merely for survival, or of those who waste the means of survival while others go without?

I was fortunate, and managed to get into college, whereby I was able to get grants, loans, and eventually a work-study position. I know many who were not so fortunate. There are many who are still stealing to eat, to have a roof, and simply to live. And they watch the waste of everyone else float by them.

You will never know just how wasteful you are until you are impoverished. And once you are, you will never be wadteful again.

Thank for you posting this. People who are well off need to realize that if things didn't turn out right for them, they'd be in the same position. Going through such an ordeal makes you a better person with a different outlook on life.

So you're saying that rich people should hoard their money, to make sure none of those jobs even exist.

Spending money on things you really don't need can certainly be wasteful. Living within your means is a good thing to do. If you have lots of income, well obviously you're going to spend more than the person who doesn't. Though, you can also live within your means on higher income brackets as well.

So we're in this nasty recession. Normal, everyday Americans are struggling to I AM A GIANT FAGGOT by. People aren't making enough money to do the things they want.

HOW DO WE SOLVE THIS?

I believe the answer is simple: raise the minimum wage to $50/hour.

Now I know that some of you Neanderthalic, knuckle-dragging mouth-breathers might object to this. But if you do then you're either a flat-out MORON or a corporate shill. Look at the facts:

(1) People don't have a lot of money
(2) If the minimum wage is increased to $50/hour, these people will have more money

It's that fucking simple, fucking idiots. I can't believe I have to explain this shit to you fucking Jesus-loving, Fox-watching, racist, xenophobic, gun-toting jingoists. People who own and run businesses are rich assholes, and it's time we gave them a big "fuck you" for having money by taking it from their greedy hands and giving it to the people who need it.

Any conservatard that tries to argue with this is just upset that under this plan we'd be giving blacks and other minorities the money previously being hoarded by greedy white capitalist corporatist fucks. Racists.

Why do you think so much of the stuff you buy is now made in China, Honduras, Singapore, the Phillipines and anywhere else that wages are LOW? Corporations reacted to the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 (otherwise known as "the Wage and Hour Law") by automating as many processes as possible so as to use fewer employees. As the mandated wage continued to rise it became cheaper to "outsource" much of their work to other countries where wages were lower. Unions also played a role in this as well, because the greedy demands of unions for ever higher pay scales caused pressure on prices which caused inflation and caused the minimum wage to be steadily increased.

"Foreign" automakers (Honda, Nissan, Mercedes, Hyundai/Kia, and BMW to name a few) all have factories in the US but were careful to locate their facilities in states where there is no "Living Wage Law" (which mandates a wage far HIGHER than the Federal standard) and where the laws allow for NON-Union labor (Honda, Mercedes and Hyundai all have plants in Alabama, Kia has a plant in West Georgia near the Alabama line). In EVERY case these companies chose to build NEW facilities and TRAIN people rather than locate in one of the many plants abandoned by the "Big 3" automakers so they could keep their labor costs low!

The bottom line is this: high wages which are forced on employers (and not the result of the normal workings of supply and demand) cause employers to hire fewer people or to quit producing altoI AM A GIANT FAGGOTher, creating GREATER unemployment. Also, if you raise the minimum wage to $50/hour, prices will HAVE to rise accordingly in order for employers to pay those wages ("Net profits" of most businesses--after all expenses are paid--are usually in the 2% range and since the greatest majority of businesses have gross sales of LESS than $10 million there just isn't a lot of extra money left to increase salaries 7-fold without MASSIVE price hikes) which will cause inflation on a scale NEVER seen in the US, the kind of inflation rates Germany had following WWI (which helped to bring about Hitler's rise to power and helped cause WWII).

I do not consider myself to be "either a flat-out MORON or a corporate shill" nor am I a "Racist." I resent being called names and insulted just because I happen to disagree with you and can bring FACTS to the table to back my argument up. Just remember that the use of insults and name-calling shows a LACK of intelligence!
