This has always boggled my mind.

In the US, we have no problem buying and supporting Japanese developed games like Final Fantasy, Resident Evil, Devil May Cry...

But in Japan, there's like ZERO western produced games that get significant traction over there. And I'm not just talking about western FPS titles...OK, so maybe they dont like that genre...

But that doesnt excuse their lack of support for games like God of War and Uncharted that are in similar genres to Devil May Cry and Resident Evil. And God of War / Uncharted is much better than the Japanese equivalents...

What gives? Are they really that xenophobic?

Really? Not even a tiny minority of the Japanese seek interest in "western" games? I've heard that some of them go absolutely bonkers over American things. But I dunno.

Japs get scared when they kratos so they run away and buy final fagasy instead and then grind all night loooong. Japs love to grind you see.

Why don't Japs like western games?
