Well, folks, I saw Avatar today, and I have to say that I felt compelled to review in on the ol' lounge. As I was walking out of theatre, several dozens of people told me that I had a moral obligation to write about why Avatar was ruining the mines of our children. The coal mines.
The main character, Avatar (played ably by Ava Tarr) was totally unrealistic. So blue! And her skin color was weird as well.
The plot, a large one, is too large, and not small enough. What's going on with all those things? I mean the flying ones. What are they? The unanswered questions are a scathing indictment of the movie.
I expected better from Kirk Cameron. He did such a good job as an actor on "Growing Pains" that I expected him to do an equally good job as director of a small-budget indie film such as this one.
In retrospect, I will reiterate my earlier statement that Jason Alexander puts in the performance of his life in Avatar. I never knew he could be an action star!
