Guys that are really passionate about their hobbies, political beliefs, and other shit like that tend to be below average looking and unsuccessful with women.
On the other hand, guys that are very successful with women tend to be a lot more casual with their hobbies and more laid back. They also, for the most part, dont give a fuck about things like politics.
Yeah there's exceptions to the rule but you get the idea.
I noticed this because as most of you already know I go to anime conventions a lot. The guys who go to anime conventions that are hardcore fans and have seen over 100 animes tend to be really ugly/fat. The good looking guys who go on the other hand are never hardcore fans...they're usually guys who have seen maybe 5 or 6 english dubbed animes on cartoon network or some shit.
Heres why.
The reason most guys that are really hardcore with their hobbies tend to be ugly is simple. They try really really hard to get women in their youth. They approach countless women and face rejection every single time. After all the rejections they try to turn to something else to fill in that void...video games, anime, card games, dungeons and dragons, whatever.

Hey guys, nice political discussion here. I'd just like you to know I don't have a position on way or the other.

Well...a man who is successful with women is FAR FAR FAR less likely to ever even THINK about joining al qaeda and going on a suicide mission than a man who is not successful with women. Given the extremely high importance men place on getting women (number 1 priority, its just most guys won't admit that) a guy who gets women has MUCH more to live for than a guy who gets no women at all.

Not being able to get women can lead men to try to fill in that void with something else....in my case, it was al qaeda.

The Unibomber tried to win the affection of a coworker, but was unsuccessful. He then went to live in a small cabin and mailed explosives to people.
