Actually, I lied, I do recall. US authorities use to man-hunt the Irish and force them to join the Union army to fight in the civil war or jail time and/or deportation.

The entire Spanish-speaking peoples call themselves Hispanic or Latino. If anything, there are more pure whites in Mexico than in any of those countries you mentioned. Latino = speaks a Latin-based language. Hispanic = shares culture and language from the Iberian peninsula, this term was actually created by white Spaniards to make themselves feel good about spreading their language and culture all over the Americas and some Latin Americans will actually be insulted if you call the Hispanic.
