H-E-B, like most stores, has bags of ice. I have seen piles of ice outside, and when I asked a worker, he said they throw out the bags that are torn. Perfectly good ice wasted, if you ask me. Watch and see where they dump the ice, and note the average time. When the worker comes out, ask him/her if you can have the ice. They need to get the ice off their hands, and you need ice, so they will almost always say yes. This is a foolproof method. All you need is a place to put the ice.
