People having kids now suck at parenting...

I know a couple sets of parents who both have 4-year old boys.
They are extremely small for their size because they eat whatever they want.

I was on a week-long vacation and this kid ate a piece of bread with cheese sprinkled on it for lunch.
Same thing for dinner. No breakfast.

No push to eat meat or vegetables from the parents.
The night we ordered pizza the kids at the cheese off of the pizza.
I just don't understand. These kids OWN the parents. They do and eat whatever the fuck they want.

I read your post the way I read everything, carefully.  And no one believes that the acts of violence you contrasted are the same in any way except that they are violence committed against a helpless victim.  I'm not saying the use of what we may characterize as mild corporal punishment is monstrous.  Simply that it is unnecessary, and confusing.  Are you telling me that you can't outsmart a child? Children must be taught about force and violence, and trained in its ways. Rule number one is force and violence may only be used in kind.
And that ain't got a god damned thing to do with "modern liberalism." Liberals, as usual, have only a piece of the puzzle, violence is bad, and as usual go too far with it.
