Darkness

I used to fear it.
The dark.
But now I’ve learned,
it is my friend.
A place to hide,
when the world threatens me.
I can lean back,
become one with the shadows.
Let the night,
close its cap around me.
Swirling masses of nothing,
dances before my eyes.
I feel myself spinning,
down and down.
I forget all my pain,
when the dark closes
around my tender body
Forget everything
and everyone,
just darkness
everywhere...

This reminds me:  I never want to visit Mexico.  The reason?  SANDWORMS.

I never want to visit Mexico.  The reason?  I don't want to be kidnapped and shipped to some uncharted Carribbean island where I will be made to pleasure rich politicians and Japanese businessmen all day
