No Sarcasm Day, June 1st

Name: Anonymous 2009-05-27 13:16

As I read these threads the main thing that I see is sarcasm.  Often weak sarcasm.  Sarcasm is the simplest form of humor, and as such the least impressive. Here it's constantly used as a crutch by the weak minded and too quickly resorted to when an argument is being lost.  So I challenge you to communicate without using sarcasm for just one day.  It really doesn't come off as clever as you think it does.

But they have.  From the Moors to George Washington Carver, Charles Drew who developed the science of blood transfusion, Nelson Mandela, and today's Ben Carson the great brain surgeon.  In the future while in school I suggest you do more studying and less trying to be a clever racist.

Oh, now there's a difference between black, brown, and percentages of each?  And the list could go on all day.  A few examples were meant to refute the lie that blacks have not achieved many great things, and encourage further study.  Again, I encourage you to study.

Anyone who would laugh at Mandela will probably never begin to approach having the kind of personal integrity necessary to understand his accomplishment, but look at it this way:  He stood up for what he believed in, was imprisoned for it, and eventually became the leader of the new government he was imprisoned for trying to create.  This is funny how?

Sarcasm is rude.  It is a rude way to talk to people.  Rude rude rude.

Sarcasm? I admit my role.

It's not even sarcasm.  It's more like snarkasm; the natural way these snarky little children believe people communicate.  I'm thinking a lot of them come from broken homes.  Passive/Aggressive monkeys
