That only helps in games like PES, where there is constantly alot of sounds.
In most games there are lots of pauses where all I heard was VVVVVVRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
