Lost interest in sports...

Name: Anonymous 2009-03-02 18:15

Never thought this would happen but I've completely lost interest in watching sports. I was of the type that played Fantasy sports, knew every team, all the players, stats, watched Sportscenter daily, read ESPN/Yahoo online, watched two shitty teams playing for no reason other than it was a game to watch, etc... but over the past year or so, I've completely lost interest, save for the Phillies' playoff run, which was some sort of miracle. But other than that and an occasional Eagle's game, I can't remember the last time I watched a sporting event.

I don't know who leads the league in scoring. I don't know who's got the best record in the Western Conference. I know barely anything about what's going on in the sporting world today and am perfectly content with it.

Watching other men play a sport while making millions of dollars does nothing for me anymore. I feel no excitement. I get no joy out of it.

I rather take the train down to Philly and go out to dinner with a friend and get some drinks after, maybe go dancing a little later. That's a good time to me, not sitting in front of the TV hoping Braylon Edwards gets 30 more yards receiving so I win my Fantasy Football game this week.

Am I alone in this feeling? As you've gotten older, have you lost interest in sports? I still love playing them (basketball), but I get no enjoyment out of following them.

I'm too lazy to get off my ass and move to the gym, much less watch any sports on tv. Although I'm like this I've actually considered learning fencing for a while.

I have never had any interest in watching sports at all, only going on 4chan. I hardly ever even watch tv.

Don't change these.
