Moot needs to stop being a whining hippie and set up paid accounts. It will be annoying without paypal at the ready, but it can be done. I see a lot of people scream 'LOL GOLD ACCOUNT PLX' but nothing about 4chan as it is has to change; if you pay, you simply get more. There's still a name field and anonymous; you don't even get a username when you pay, just a random password that you use to activate features.
-Most popular boards get a "paid accounts only" version (i.e VI_ /via/ /viv/ /vib/, etc.) that have a lower flood limit and increased image size (and perhaps all have flash/youtube capability as well) as well as being exclusive to paid users
-Paid users can get a local archive of a thread without any of those ad inserts of 4chanarchive
-Speaking of which, paid users don't see ads period.

There are a number of other possible features that could be used:
-blowjob from moot to new users
-each paid user gets a "poof" button, where they're able to lock one thread on all of 4chan each paid period (very iffy)
-larger upload allowances for just them on normal boards

And so forth. The days of "ZOMG AD REVENUE" are over, and creating shit that you plan on being popular means you have to have a business plan that moves beyond ad revenue in order to do so.
