Mastercuts fucked up my hair.

Damn. I really hate it when I get a bad haircut. Which is why I usually would let my boyfriend just cut it with clippers.

But I went for my third professional haircut in a row today and got a bad haircut. I've never gotten one in my life that I was unhappy with, until today. And they fucked it up twice.

I went in and asked them to cut the sides and back really short, and leave the top just long enough so that it would lay down. Now, I walked in there with my hair combed, with a part on the left side of my head.

She does the sides and the back and does this dramatic fade/blend thing and barely cut anything off on the top. And then combs it straight back which I hate anyway. I thought it was fine, but it was still wet, so I couldn't tell. 5 minutes later, I looked in a mirror after it had dried and it looked exactly the same as before, way too bushy on top, and with the sides and back shaved to a quarter inch.

WTF? So I go back in and ask her to cut the top shorter. By this time, I'd arranged it back in the style that I wear it, which is jus combed to the side with a part on the left. Well, she cut it shorter, then blow-dried it (which I hate anyway, because it makes my hair way too fluffy) and then combs it back again. I got up and ran out of there as fast as I could, found a storefront window, and re-arranged it back to the way I like to wear it.

Man, it's so fucked up.

When someone walks into a place to get their hair cut and it's combed to one side, and they say they want it just long enough to LAY DOWN, wtf does that mean? Butcher it up and make it stand up straight at different lengths all over the top of the person's head?

I'm going to have to resort to using hair gel for the first time in like 15 years. I didn't even know what kind to buy when I went to get it.

I guess that's what I get for going to Mastercuts. But it's hard to get a walk-in appointment on Kauai. Hell, it's hard getting anything on Kauai, really.

One thing is for sure, though. I'll never go to a salon/stylist again. Every time I have, they always want to blow dry it and then comb it straight back/up. I hate that shit.

It's back to the barber shop for me. Or geting someone to use the clippers every time. A "one and a three" has never let me down.
