Why the fuck do they always have to advertise on /b/ and why does /b/ always feel the need to invade them with DDoS attacks? I need my fucking AnonTalk because they comfort me with certain things. Now Sysop wants $250/$500 a month for a DDoS Protection software that cost around $499 a month.

Sysop just takes the site down like this every once in a while so he can relax from moderating the site like a Nazi. Puts the site back up again, a little while goes by wash, rinse, repeat.

I use both 4chan and AnonTalk. It's obvious that if you constantly work on something you're eventually going to get burned out. He has help from so-called "Wiseguys" yes, but he always says that they're useless and such. It's evident that he does most of the moderating on the site.

I hope it dies; and soon.  I'm new to much of this(4mos or so) and  after seeing all the spam here, I spent a couple of weeks over there playing.  It was pretty low volume and overwhelmingly pedo, but there were a few interesting posts so I started to work it.  As always, and especially after seeing all the pedos, I researched what I could.  This amounted, principally, to its entry in the ED, so along I go creating posts and replies that get higher than average hits/replies and trying to be a positive influence; lending little credence to the ED article.
The site attempts to present an air of intellectualism, so when someone posted a request to differentiate the words motive and motif, I replied that they should go to dictionary dot com.  Sysop replied to me, informing me that I was being a "little troll"  Whatever.  It's his ball, and I wanted to play so I accepted the criticism and was ready to move on, but since he contacted me I thought I'd ask for a little more background, citing the ED article as the only information I could find.  I wish I kept the ensuing correspondence. He absolutely flipped out.  As much as I tried to convince him of my honorable intentions he persisted in accusing me of being a troll and suspiciously avoided and never refuted any of the ED accusations.  Further, now having had the opportunity to examine his writing style I had a pretty good model for spotting his stuff submitted anonymously in other threads and became convinced that he is, in fact, not only emotionally disturbed, but a pedophile as well.  
I was attracted to what I perceived as a dedication to freedom of speech, but in this instance it led me into a den of freaks, led by a freak.  I wished him luck and farewell, and fucked off, because it's also clear that he's a malevolent little freak with some computing skills. Dangerous combo, but in the end he'll get what he deserves.

Not disagreeing with you about the place hosting an overwhelmingly amount of pedophilic topics. Someone on there said that many BBS and forums many years ago did not censor pedo-esque discussion until the Internet became really popular. Ignoring those, the topics that discuss of other things are not too bad providing you practice decent grammar, don't troll, etc. The place has a high signal-to-noise ratio and crap like spam and such are taken care of quickly. Just questioning the healthiness of a guy that started a new thread every day where he made daily reports of such things, constantly asking for ways to make contact with the children who were "driving him crazy with their hot bodies" just by playing outside, is how I got myself banned and redirected to a virus site without any warning what so ever.

Assuming that this poster wasn't a cop baiting users, or a troll, then this guy was mentally ill, and was basically asking for ways to stalk and seduce children without any remorse, instead of seeking help. It was only a matter of time before someone would give him enough tips or encouragement to cause rapes to happen. There is also rumours that this guy was actually Sysop himself, which explains why I got banned.

...so I mistook AnonTalk for a place for regular pedophiles, instead of a place where perverts support eachother into molesting children. I think that they should clearly state that in their adverts.

My own experience determined my behavior.  My own experience was consistent with some of the information on ED. And before forming my current opinions, one of the first things I said in my correspondence with sysop was that at the very least I wanted to ensure that he was aware of the material so that he might defend himself against it"  Naive perhaps, but earnest.  The fact is that some of the information may be legally actionable; something I could have helped with, but the contentious, paranoid sysop's letters told me much more than ED ever could have.

No. Sysop spams /b/; plain and simple. He knows that his spam eventually makes the denizens of /b/ get in an uproar and retaliate by DdoS'ing the site. He follows through on this by asking those in AnonTalk to donate so that AnonTalk can survive (and, donations to be used for funding possible DdoS protection.) After a while when things pipe down, he fires up his spamming bot (slowly at first, then more frequently) until the denizens of /b/ are once again in an uproar over the spam.
