Why the fuck do they always have to advertise on /b/ and why does /b/ always feel the need to invade them with DDoS attacks? I need my fucking AnonTalk because they comfort me with certain things. Now Sysop wants $250/$500 a month for a DDoS Protection software that cost around $499 a month.

The current situation
AT is down because of repeated DDoS attacks on a really grand scale. It has become apparent that these attacks aren't gonna stop, and that something needs to be done.
After seriously researching this for months, I have come to the conclusion that there is basically no ISP that will accept AT with these attacks. However, there are a few services out there that provide dedicated DDoS protection. Sadly, these are expensive. For example, http://dragonara.net/ddos-protection.html wants $499 USD/month to wash the traffic. This would mean the end of all our downtime problems. However, I really cannot afford this. I need your help.
If somebody out there is willing to donate 500 bucks a month for this, AT can live on. If you won't donate this time, I don't see what else I can do.

They decided to pull the plug without any notice whatsoever and only after contacting them did they give me some vague bullshit lies in bad English about AT hosting child porn (AT doesn't even host a single image, video clip, file archive or malicious script, so that's obviously not true). They do, however your ID doesn't travel from thread to thread. It was designed so people can't "samefag" their posts without being caught. The only person who can see your ID is obviously the Sysop, which of course can be scrutinized by him. But like >>25 has said, this can be worked around. However, the Sysop will still know who you are as I'm sure the board software he wrote for AnonTalk can track IPs and hostnames.
