If I steal from a store, I'll get caught and have to pay a fine, do community service, and/or go to jail. Same if I steal from a neighbor. But if someone steals my girlfriend, how's that legal?

Hold on. Its not stealing if she is giving consent. The fact that she is abiding to this other male, presumably a sexual dynamo, shows that she chose her current relationship over yours. This other sexual beast did not steal her so therefore it is not illegal.
