Oh, that is mostly becuase the sun is really really bright white.  However, when the light rays are hit teh atomsphere, the light get knocked around by the molecules in the air.  Blue light gets knowcked around a lots more, so that's why it looks like the entire sky is blue, this light all comes from teh  sun.  The other colours get knocked aroundt oo, but not as much.

The sun itself looks yellow because that's the color that's left after all the other light gets knocked around and is coming from strange directinos insteaf of  strait from the sun.  Durng sunset it look red because theres mroe atomosphere for the light to get knocked around in so it goes further away, and red is all that's left.

If you wanted the sky to be greenish blue, you wold need bigger molecules in teh air.  But since we ar e used to breathing the air we have now, changing that would might make us all sick and die.  And if the molceules are too big it would make things teh wrong coloir again.
