Board Banned but can still browse

Okay, so I was recently banned from /a/ for about a week, but I can still browse (just can't reply). Is this a new form of banning, was there a glitch, or something else?
I don't want the mods to check up and think I'm ban evading. (And end up banned from all boards permanently.)

Chris Angel Mindfuck

When you see it, you'll take a shit

At first, I saw Chris.  That was expected and OK.

I looked a little longer and saw an Angel.  That was a little strange, but this is 4chan and you can see some weird things.  So that was OK too.

Then I looked a little bit longer and a little to the side of things, if you know what I mean ... AND THAT'S WHEN I SAW THE MINDFUCK!  I filled my pants with a shit immediately, much like Joaquin Phoenix did in the movie "Signs" when he was watching TV footage of the alien that was sighted by some amateur.
