anime club

there's this chick in my school's anime club that i've kinda fallen for. Problem is I have almost no experience with girls.  next anime club is next weekend; how should I prepare so that I can have a possible date?

maybe something more unofficial to start off, such as asking if she's going to the cactus festival or whatever your town has, or an art show, and that you could say hey great I'll meet you there and then you meet her there
