Cut the maudlin crap

Good morning from the armpit of California: Bakersfield.
I am a domestically partnered male, 32 y/o with a relatively normal life.
I work for the County in the department of Agriculture doing IT stuff I barely understand. I have a column in a local magazine and I fancy myself as an artist. On all accounts I am simply too damned lazy to excel at any of it so I settle for "getting by".
I am a diagnosed manic-depressive currently on medication. I still have respectable mood swings and don't respond well when stressful events pile up.
I tend to talk/type without a PC filter much of the time- this has gotten me kicked off a couple of the more tame Stepford-Borg message boards. Not something I'm proud of, just is.
My greatest strengths are creativity and a growing sense of "self". At least I think I'm on the path to "self". Most people I know don't even know there is a path.
My greatest weakness' are intolerance for the intolerant and being judgemental when I really should know better.
I love people that speak their mind and hold their ground with an equal measure of humility and graciousness. This is not to be confused with having to be "sorry" for expressing an opinion. In fact, I will never apologize for posting what I believe is correct for me.
I hate people who live their life with a sense of entitlement and arrogance.
I believe right and wrong are simply shades of gray and we all must make our own decisions based on the dictates of our heart and conscience.
I am verbose, catty, ocassionally bitchy but always striving for sincerity.
