Dear 4chan members,
I am performing a study project on non-religion and am asking for any response from people around the world, i need three questions answered by a wide range of people, please include with your answers your age and sex and a name to go by for my refrence to your comments.
The three questions i would like response to are:
1. Why are you an athiest?
2. If you were of a faith before, what was the belief and what made you change belief?
3. What are the main reasons you continue to be an athiest?
I thank everybody in advance for posting answerrs to my questions

1.) I'm an athiest because i believe that knowledge and the accumulation of knowledge originates from scientific backgrounds, not archaically obtained, externally
2.) to answer the second question, Having seen that the Buddhist way of life makes no impact on my life or is able to answer any of my questions intelligently, I have been able to shelve its philosophies and find folly in its teachings
3.) the reason I continue to be atheist is because it is compatible with my lifestyle, values and morals, and is a demographical indication that knowledge and civilisation is progressing.

1) Because throughout my life i have found that religious groups may cause some good on this earth but the amount of deaths and suffering they have caused is not justifiably by me so i choose not to believe in any
2) Christian, history books, stories, drama's inside my church community.
3) I continue to be an athiest as i find no reasons to go back to a religious lifestyle, i have thought about becoming a buddhist but havnt had the time to commit to a change in my lifestyle as i have been busy with my school work and home life.

1. Why are you an athiest?
Athiesm lets me do whatever I want, whenever I want; not restricted by any form of alibi, curfew or any other restrictions.
2. If you were of a faith before, what was the belief and what made you change belief?
n/a
3. What are the main reasons you continue to be an athiest?
No reason of believing in a faith that proves anything of that particular aspect that science cannot.
Sorry, my age and sex can't be revealed. You may call me RedCream.
1. Why are you an athiest? Because religion is stupid and provably wrong. You may as well ask why I don't believe in the fucking Easter Bunny or Santa Claus -- it's because the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus not only don't exist, but it's easily proven that they CAN'T EXIST. (Have YOU ever seen a huge bunny rabbit with Human-like intelligence? Have YOU ever seen a flying sleigh? They don't fucking exist!)
2. If you were of a faith before, what was the belief and what made you change belief? I was of no faith before and being dragged to church was just a pain since I had no idea what the adults were talking about. Then, I wised up. The adults were talking nonsense and it was prudent to get the fuck away from those crazy fuckers. Atheism is the natural state of the thinking person. In contrast, crazy people believe in gods.
3. What are the main reasons you continue to be an athiest? Because Atheism is utterly correct. There are no gods. Anyone who thinks differently still has to produce EVIDENCE. They can't fucking do it, since there's ZERO evidence ... and there should be, since we're talking about huge and pervasive entities. But no matter how alert you are on Christmas Eve, you'll never see Santa Claus since there's no fucking Santa Claus (since there's no such things as a flying sleigh or a man who can bonelessly get down chimneys, etc.). Gods that can't be found are better called "fictions".
older than your mom, man enough (for your mom)
1. Magical beliefs not reinforced by experience
2. Baptized Catholic yet never taken to a church service, had general Christianess, faded through thought, gaining of knowledge, beliefs not reinforced by experience
3. Simple continuation of state of being, not even worthy of consideration to even cling to a self-definition as "atheist" or as anything worth labelling
I am wondering wether to censor the words of the masses or to put them plainly as they were said, i am submitting this to my heavily christian school, i wonder if they would care or not, im swaying towards leaving it all in uncensored just for kicks.

1. I am an atheist because I outgrew my upbringing. Atheism is the natural and most elemental state of humanity, and thus easy to gravitate toward.
2. I was Jewish, but experiences growing up taught me that Judaism, despite having a long history and lots of PHD's, is just as blind and hypocritical as all other faiths.
3. Because I can't imagine a better state of being.
