I spent a day in a nursing home today with shrivelled geriatrics who have dementia. They were like zombies basically, some of them without the ability to talk or think, drooling, pissing and shitting their adult diapers, a few unable to move and just staring into space with empty grimaces. Why is euthanasia not fuckin legal? Long life expectancy is a bad thing because rotting away in a sterile room for several years with carers making you go through the motions joylessly until you can finally die is not living. All very well and good for those who can afford the cost of it, it must suck for those who can't. It's pointless keeping people alive when they're that way.
