Serious question about racism

Name: moot !Ep8pui8Vw2 2008-04-09 16:46

Why do a lot of black people act like they are owed something...whether reparations, increased jobs for minorities, etc... If it wasn't for other black people capturing their ancestors, selling them, and packing them on boats...they would not be in America to begin with.

Seems to me, in an odd way, that everyone should be thankful they are here and not worry about what happened 15 generations ago to bring them here...

Again, I am, in no way, racist...and never really thought about this until a black person brought it up last night

I personally think the whole fucking thing is retarded.
Sure, they were taken from their homes, enslaved etc..
But it's not like we personally did it.
Why the fuck are they pissed off at something that happened to their Grandfather's Grandfather,
That was done by our Grandfather's Grandfather?
They werent personally slaves at ANY point in their lives,
And we werent slave owners at any point in our lives.
They are not the victims, we are not racists.
If you ask me they are being a bit racist themselves dont you think?

They see any white person on the street and think "Oh that guy hates black people! He was a slave owner!"
And if you really look at it, do you think they would even want to be in Africa with the way things are happening over there?
They've got war, famine, disease, you name it,
They should be glad they dont live in that hellhole.

tldr, we dont own slaves, they arent personally slaves and need to shut the fuck up about this shit already.
