I don't get it

Name: Anonymous 2008-02-05 19:32

I don't get why having new people here is a bad thing. Don't you think that things would be better if the majority of people in the U.S. and Canada, U.K., Australia, among other places like France,
Sweden, Germany etc. were 4channers?

Name: Anonymous 2008-02-05 20:05

No, because not everyone is cut out to be an Anonymous. 4chan can help mould people already on the path to Anonymous-hood, but it's unlikely to change the common man into a /b/tard.

More people on 4chan will change 4chan itself rather than changing the people. If we go mainstream, we will be dumbing down and losing all the lulz.

What kinds of people are not "cut out" to be Anonymous? Don't you think that if anyone stayed here they will change soon enough to Anonymous-hood?

i an truly anonymous i can put you all to shame

Name: Anonymous 2008-02-05 20:34

lots of people are not cut out to be anonymous.. If you think ur cut out to be anonymous, ur not. Im not anonymous, im just pretending.

you have just entered the very heart, soul, and life force of the internet. this is a place beyond sanity, wild and untamed. there is nothing new here. "new" content on 4chan is not found; it is created from old material. every interesting, offensive, shocking, or debate inspiring topic youve seen elsewhere has been posted here ad infinitum. we are the reason for "not safe for work". we are the anonymous army. cross us and you will fail. anonymous is everywhere. you depend on us every day. we bag your groceries, we fix your computers. anonymous sees you before you see him. sitting at desks around the world right now is a nameless, faceless, unforgiving mafia composed of the best of the best.

we are 4channers. the people devoid of any type of soul or conscience. products of cynicism and apathy, spreading those very sentiments daily. anonymous is the hardened war veteran of the internet. he does not forgive or forget. we have seen things that defy explantions. heard stories that would make any god-fearing, law abiding citzen empty their stomach where they stand. we have experienced them multiple times and eagerly await their return.

4chan is a place of sheer genius and utter stupidity, and there is often a thin line dividing the two. here you will see a state of mind that exists in most human beings, but is rarely if ever shown. this is a place where taboos do not exist. 4chan cannot simply be regarded as a simple website or imageboard. it is so much more than code. 4chan is alive and constantly changing. this is a subculture, a self-governing sect of the world. rich in history and foundation. to become a 4chan user is to speak a different language. to leave behind any methods of conventional thinking you once knew.

there are things here that you will not understand and things you never will understand. if you cannot accept this then GTFO now. because there is no turning back.

this is 4chan
this is /b/

I kind of agree with >>5. not everyone is cut out of the anonymous, even if by force here, they are.

The people not cut out to be anonymous are those people telling everyone about how cool and awesome 4chan is and how fucking super leet /b/ is. The ones spewing memes left and right in real life and can't shut the fuck up. THOSE are not cut off to be anonymous, because they are not.
The ones that do are the ones being creative and actually post something funny. The ones that will fuck shit up while staying really anonymous, never to be found. The ones that are anonymous, but when leaving out the door of his house, he's a normal human being. And would deny ever going to 4chan.

There is a difference. And 4chan seems more and more to be plagued with the non-anonymous.

This is /lounge/, and personally, I'd rather see the Anonymous mentality at face value. Anonymity.

This legion bullshit is being newfagged up with raids, etc.

People taking it too seriously are the cancer.

Name: Anonymous 2008-02-05 23:54

/i/ is the cancer that is killing 4chan. without /i/, there would be fewerer anti-anonymous newfags.

Oekaki?

Name: Anonymous 2008-02-06 13:36

its just a fucking anonymous board. stupid elite faggots.

Name: Anonymous 2008-02-06 14:09

I think part of the problem is that some people seem to seek acceptance from the rest of the community by repeating memes and attempting to conform to the typical /b/tard behaviour. This is lame, nobody should be concerned with whether or not you're accepted or not as nobody will remember your posts, and even if you do post something stupid or embarassing, you won't have to live with the mockery of the rest of the boards.

Sage because these type of threads have been plaguing /lounge/.

What, you actually prefer republicans (harmful faggotry) rather than the less harmful faggotry you just named?

Don't change these.
