People know nothing of anonymous

Right now, this "raid" looks nothing like a usual raid. It actually is now a public opinion campaign rather than a raid. As such, anonymous's identity is masked because it is doing something that it would usually not do. Is this win or fail? I think that it would be better if anonymous started raiding rather than courting the public opinion.

It is win. $cientology must be destroyed.

I think people are losing the point of Anonymous completely. As far as 4chan is concerned, I think Anonymous should stay on 4chan. People claim that it's become "so much bigger than 4chan, etc" - and honestly? I think they should find somewhere else to be super cool freedom fighter hax0rz, because it's taking away from the point of this website in general.

Nothing funny ever came from the Scientology raid. Now people think they're going to take down an entire religion? Get real.

Not only has the news not realized the point of Anonymous, but "Anonymous" itself is doing it wrong.

How the USA government is doing nothing escapes me.
Any insights?

USA hates Scientology also?

The thing about it is that Anonymous is taking on scientology.. the usual scientology method of silencing their critics is by finding info about them and harass them to no end. But in this cause, they're going against ANONYMOUS people. There is no way to find out who they are if they do it right.. so it's a good thing, in my opinion.
I also understand that doing all this is making 4chan more and more public and exposing this board, and even the all the chans. The point of this site is to sit back and discuss about shit in privacy, it's what I love.. unfortunately, I think doing this raid against scientology is hurting 4chan a bit and now we're getting scientology trolls all over /b/.. but it's the backlash of raiding.

All in all, I think this is a good cause.. we are not going to take down scientology, that is just pure fantasy. But I believe we can at least put a dent to it by raising public awareness about it.. then go on from there.
We have the power.. we are Anonymous.

I thought raids were primarily to spread our shit around?

Name: Anonymous 2008-02-01 21:19

The thing about these raids are that nigras are no longer allowed with "no racism" and "no memes" on many raid centres like http://londonlulz.com/index.php?title=Main_Page and http://www.forums.enturbulation.org/

Excuse my ignorance heh, but what do you mean by "spread out shit around"? Like advertise 4chan? O__o Well I doubt that, since we should mainly follow Rules 1&2. And Ebaumsworld always did it. :P

Besides, it is important to get all those newfags who have heard about anonymous through the latest news on the scientology raids on the track to becoming oldfags.

Oh, LOL. I see.. well yes.

I kind of hate how 4chan memes are being tossed around everywhere now, though.. it seems like almost all the message boards I've visited are 4chan miniclones now. :\

I mean, look at all these newfags here http://www.news.com/8301-10789_3-9859513-57.html who could become oldfags. the more oldfags, the better, amirite?

Yeah, but they refuse to lurk moar now.. Then they sound like complete idiots when saying memes.

Like "more sauce on OPs picutre! ROFL XDDD" when they hear others say "sauce" without realizing sauce really means source..

Etc., that kind of stuff. Also, it's wayyy overcrowded. At least in /b/. You can't make a new thread without it being in the 3rd page automatically, lulz. :\

Yeah, I'm pretty much forced to noko on my OP because it's impossible to keep track of a topic, should I choose to make one.

I always get a little wigged out thinking about how many potential topics immediately get page 2'd

Don't change these.
