Hey guys, I made this topic earlier in /b/ and would like to know what you guys think:
It's a vicious cycle. Everyone's calling the people acting like newfags newfags. So we're calling those people newfags. Eventually people will be calling us newfags as the hierarchy of meme'dom progresses.
And you know, that's sadly the trend of most of /b/. People spend too much time bitching about regurgitated memes and who's new, yet still don't do anything to create their own content. When other people do, they're suddenly newfags because /b/ "died on some certain date" according to some fag site like ED.
So in essence, creative minds who attempt original content are held back by the true newfags.
Here's where I'm going with this. I want an absolutely serious discussion about /b/. "It's sooo terrible," yet you keep coming back. So what do you want? Don't you realize it's up to you, the poster, to mold this?
So I ask you. what would YOU, as nothing more than an Anonymous poster with a contribution, do to make your experience better?
Serious discussion please, so try to ignore the flames.
------
It had a lot of response, which surprised me. If you want my opinion, I think more emphasis on the text boards and actually ENFORCING the under 18 rule (in the applicable boards) would be an amazing step in the right direction. Perhaps even a 'General' imageboard. As a poster I can not do this, obviously, so it's simply a quiet hope.
Feel free to offer your own thoughts, as I believe the text boards are a great medium for this type of discussion.
