Obama's speeches are great?

I heard someone say Barack Obama's speeches are great. All the guy knows how to say are vague generic political statements. "We need to embark on a journey for change" and the crowd cheers. This guy has no solution to global trade problems, the Iraq War, or anything. I don't disagree with him because he's black either. I disagree with him because he's wrong.

Obama's speeches are made up of empty rhetoric. He goes on about 'change', 'bright futures', the usual buzzwords.

I heard he is black? Why do you let him go into politics? He throws your great nation down the drain like all blacks. Look around africa...

Why is there any surprise at all that a Democrat is playing a demagogue?  After all the cheering stops, people will have to put up with another incompetent or vicious politician who is going to take the next step towards an outright police state.
