Got ditched on New Years

Name: Anonymous 2008-01-03 23:54

I've been dating a girl I've known for years lately. We had plans for New Years and the day before she texted me and said that she had to cancel because she was hanging out with her girlfriend.

The old (Faggy Type)me would of said "Oh thats OK I'll talk to you in 2008!"

But no. The new (Epic Win Type) me said...

"I don't appreciate you breaking plans with me, especially on New Years. It shows what little respect you have for me. I hope you have fun, but please don't call me again."

It's the first time I've really done that to a slut. Win.

Good move?

Not bad. Your are 100%. Texting instead of calling was totally the right thing to do with something like that. She already had plans with you, and something like hanging out with her gf came up? That was totally handled well, yet I would have phrased it a little different:

"I don't appreciate you breaking plans with me, especially on New Years. It shows what little respect you have for me. I hope you have fun, but don't call unless you are ready to make it up to me. You are on probation for that. I don't tolerate second class behavior."

Sounds like an epic win on your part. However, you've only done the easy thing so far. She will call again, fearing that you got the last word in, and attempt to bait you along until she has the final say. It will get harder because you probably hoped that your declaration would wake her up out of her stupor. It probably won't. She will continue to be selfish and continue to disrespect you. This may really be the end of your relationship with her. Be careful not to make empty threats (threats with no real integrity). Stand by your words. If the relationship ends, make sure that she departs knowing that it ended on your terms, not that fucking lying slut's.

Sorry, my bad, should have read your post more closely.
Nope, nothing but epic win in your post :)

You can teach a woman NOT to disrespect you, but you need to give her a second, and only one second chance to learn from her mistake.

It's your call how you want to handle this. You can completely get rid of her, or you can say "Don't do this again" and perhaps she'll learn.

Don't change these.
